1. The Arena
In Italy, this is the third biggest Roman Arena, and it was erected in the 1st century with a capacity of 25,000 spectators. This arena hosts a reputable opera festival and other performances pertaining to the theatre. The sun usually shines brightly on the stage in the afternoon, which creates a great view. If you love theatre, you will definitely love visiting this place.

2. Duomo of Verona
This is the Verona’s main cathedral. You should savour its beauty from inside. This 12th-century buildings’ interiors are full of artistic gems like the famous Italian master Titian’s painting. Enjoy the beauty of the paintings all around you while in this cathedral.

3. Piazza Delle Erbe
This is colourful fruits and vegetables vending market filled with sun umbrellas. You will enjoy shopping in a market that is enclosed by monuments and other ancient buildings. On Saturdays and Sundays, the place is always flooded with locals doing their weekly shopping or participating in their evening aperitif ritual. You can access town hall, Mazzanti’s house, and Casa dei Guidici in this square. The smaller side has Palazzo Maffei that is full of Greek gods, including Hercules, Apollo, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Minerva. You will also find the Madonna Verona fountain at the heart of the square and a historical capital known as Tribuna that goes back to the 13th century.

4. Casa di Romeo e Giulietta
When you hear the name Verona, what usually comes to your mind is the Shakespear’s famous Juliet and Romeo tragedy. To satisfy the welling curiosity of tourists who wanted to know where the lovers lived, they were directed to this medieval palazzo, which is simply off the Piazza delle Erbe. The Palazzo has a pleasant courtyard that tourists enjoy standing on. In the 1930s, a balcony was added to this building to complete its looks, and now tourists can bask in it. Years later, a bronze statue was erected just outside the palazzo and displays were erected inside the house. Tourists can get their photographs taken on the balcony to carry with them the memories of this fictional romance story.

5. Torre dei Lamberti
This tower is a great spot for enjoying a scenic view of Verona. Just make your way up using the stairs or going with the elevator for the most majestic view of the city. This medieval bell tower was erected in the 12th century but later got raised to reach its current height of 84 meters.
