The typical cuisine of Lake Garda is characterised by the naturalness of the products and the simplicity in the preparation of the dishes.
This generous land provides many natural delicacies, such as fish from its lake:

eel
sardine
whitefish

carp

which are served according to local culinary tradition. Traditional cheeses come from the farms and the surrounding mountain pastures. There are numerous game and vegetable based dishes, which are often combined in the preparation of delicious first courses.

Extra virgin olive oil from Malcesine is renowned for its excellent properties.

Bardolino, made from Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara and Negrara grapes, a wine with particular organoleptic properties and appreciated internationally, is produced in an area encompassing twelve villages to the south east of Garda that extends from Bardolino to Garda and Peschiera, reaching as far inland as Sommacampagna and Affi.
