Biking around Lake Garda

Biking around Lake Garda

There is no better place to get on your bike, Lake Garda is a place drenched in tranquil beauty and natural wonder. There are more than one thousand kilometres of wayward trials for he bike enthusiast to attempt and this is for all biking abilities. Beginners may want to go on easier outings, whilst more adept riders will want to tackle trials with a higher level of commitment.

Lake Garda has some of most breathtaking and beautiful scenery in Europe and seeing the imposing beauty from a hillside on your bike is akin to any natural wonder of the world. Lake Garda offers riders the opportunity of complete and utter freedom to explore a relatively untouched landscape.

Some routes:

  • East Garda (Bus and Bike):

You can take the 'bus and bike' service where you will reach "Prada" in Malcesine, where the actual chairlift begins. Afterward, you will climb the slopes of the famous Mount Blado and finally reach the hideaway of "Fiori del Baldo". When you have followed the mule track, which cuts deep into the coast of the easter woodlands, you will view amazing oak and pine forests as far as the eye can see, and this is all before you return to Lake Garda, where you can indulge in the thought-provoking and outstanding panoramas.

  • North Garda (Marocche):

With a moderate level of difficulty, this is definitely a route for the more experienced. You start at the path to the nothern limits of the Valle del Sarca, where the route is initially long and quite challenging. You continue to the bridge in Arco and a path that is situated on the right hand side of the river, where the high cliff of the castle is clearly visible. The first stretch of the walkway, which is surfaced, passes through Prabi, where it is worth dropping into the famous old church of Saint Apollonaire and Saint Paul’s Hermitage. After travelling by the Roman bridge on the right at Ceniga, the walkway becomes more difficult, with a lot of stone and gravel under wheel, but it isn't as demanding as some other routes. This is all before you finally arrive at the 'Ciclamino' motor-cross circuit located at Pietramurata.
