Enjoying on the Monte Baldo cableway

The Monte Baldo cableway from Malcesine provides stunning panoramas of Lake Garda, making this one of the region's top tourist attractions. Guests can take a trip on the cable car and see alpine views of Monte Baldo and the rugged landscape. Monte Baldo is a perfect place to walk and watch the world go by. Cyclists can even bring their bikes with them on the cableway and explore the mountainside when they get to the top. Although the cableway can be used all year around, the winter months are particularly special. During this time of the year, the mountain's peak are blanketed with snow, making the area a great place to practice winter sports.

The cableway Monte Baldo departs from Malcesine, a small village on the eastern side of Lake Garda before it ascends slowly. The views are spectacular: guests can look down on the lake, which sparkles in the sun, or at the mountainside shoreline.

The journey is slow, peaceful and relaxing, with three stops in total. The first, at Malcesine Via Navene Vecchia 12, lets guests explore the commune of Malcesine, famous for its boutique stores and restaurants.
From here, the cableway travels to San Michele, which situated at 580 metres above the lake. This is a great point where guests can look out on the view and take a photo.
The final stop is Monte Baldo itself, which is 1780 metres above the lake.

The cableway is open from Saturday to Sunday, from 8 a.m., departing from Malcesine every 30 minutes. Getting here is easy and a small car park is located in Malcesine for travellers.

Two important tips for you: remember to bring a camera with you on your trip and don't forget to wear a pair of sturdy walking boots!
